Before I watched this anime I was nothing but an edgy emo teen that enjoyed watching mindless horror movies and being envious of the popular girls in my class | STORY Root A the name to be used from here on out takes place immediately after the conclusion of the first season |
---|---|
If you enjoyed it and have not read the manga, I highly recommend it as it further develops the empty husk that is the anime series | The tone of the opening scarcely matches the overarching themes of the season, which is a grand disappointment in light of how amazing the opening was for the first season |
There is no coherent progression from one event to the next; the end result is that the series as a whole feels like a haphazard, condensed jumbling of the manga.
Which would have been at least tolerable, had they done something with such a turn of events | How about the encompassing battle that was occurring around them? This is acceptable; as has already been discussed, sometimes protecting the things you love isn't possible |
---|---|
Honestly speaking, this is one of the worst shows I have ever seen | Animation-wise, Root A is fairly underwhelming |
When he fights the good guys for the lulz we understand that he does that because he has to do it.
It is a mess of unexplained plot points that insult the complexity of the source material it was adapted from | Go watch this masterpiece immediately! Oh, how I love them! Obviously, this notion sounds completely insane, but it at least makes sense for Root A |
---|---|
As for voice-acting, the cast performs generally around average | Even worse, the fight choreography and direction is lackluster, where the duels seem like an amalgamation of blobs maybe striking at one another here and there |
Root A attempts to condense something closer to 75-80 chapters and royally screws it up.
